Simon Placks is a Digital Forensics expert specialising in civil disputes. He provides expert testimony on the authenticity, integrity and provenance of electronic documents and data disclosed in high-value contractual disputes, fraud investigations, and regulatory matters.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr Placks provides forensic insights on cases involving manipulated documents, metadata integrity challenges and the detection of digital fabrication. He also advises on the integrity and reliability of digital documents and electronic evidence produced through eDiscovery workflows.
He holds a BSc and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Durham and an LLM in IT & Telecommunications Law.
