Dr Duncan Woods

Dr Woods has worked as a forensic biologist since 1988. He is instructed in approximately 80 criminal cases each year involving assaults, murders, and sexual offences. His cases encompass a range of issues from DNA profiling, analyses of blood patterns and textile fibres, to complex scene examinations. Duncan is frequently instructed to prepare overview reports on the way in which scientific findings link together. He has a BSc in Biology and a PhD in Microbiology.
